Colorado Recap

Our time in Colorado has officially come to an end, and the boys and I are busy readjusting and unpacking in our Texas home.  It was beyond wonderful spending so much time with family and I really, really miss seeing the boys expressions when my mom jumped around the corner every morning, or how Aiden would light-up as soon as Michael walked through the door.

A zillion, trillion thank yous go out to Mama, Michael, Jessica and Nate for the hospitality, help, love and for spoiling the boys!  What a special time we all had together!

Wearing Nates rock'n Zealous hat
Smiles all around....thanks Jess for jumping around!!!
The last few days in the mountains Keith joined the party.  The boys enjoyed showing off their new tricks, taking their dad to feed the ducks,

and we all enjoyed a nature walk down the lane.  The fall colors are simply breathtaking!

Kaleb and Aiden were absolute dreams on the trip home.  I'm so impressed at how well behaved they are in the car.  When they got cranky I climbed into the back to sing songs, eat puffs and make funny faces.  Our second citrus lane box was awaiting our arrival in Texas.  A super cute stroller toy was included...this would have been handy during our travels.

Happy Kman stretching his stretches out!
Our first duty upon arrival was lowering the cribs and the next few days I'm baby proofing.  Aiden is a champion stair climber!  AHH.

Happy Fall!!  Looking forward to some festive decorating asap.  Finding a huge pumpkin patch to take the boys for photos is a top priority, and my multiples group Fall sale is on Friday.  Whoop, whoop!

Cheers

Our market days have officially come to an end.  We had a fun last couple weeks meeting friends and having a picnic this past Friday.

Last week I took my babies to a bar!?!  Sure, why not?

The boys had their first experience in a group of rowdy mountain folk, all gathered to listen to some awesome music!
Goika!
The weather has gotten so much cooler and this morning we woke up to a white mountain.  The clouds settled down in the valley and our drive was breath taking!

Recently we've had so much rain the boys haven't gotten a chance to ride in their chariot...until today.

We met up with Jess and MamaB during lunch and went on a cruise across the Dillon Dam.

I think the boys enjoyed the ride, with exceptions to wearing a helmet, having the sun in their eyes and wanting their lunch.  Before heading back to Jessica's the boys played on the swings for the first time...too big to twinify like their cousins Lucie and Teddy!

This they LOVED!

I'm pretty bummed our time here in the mountains is coming to a close.  I love it here so much, and the boys definitely feel at home.  It'll be a traveling adventure with these on-the-go guys, and they'll get to know their Texas home all over again.  I do look forward to Fall decorating and taking the boys to a pumpkin patch.

Hope you all are enjoying some Fall festivities as well.

Best.Photo(s).Ever

Cousin Visit Recap!!

The week went by all too quickly and I miss my sister, brother, niece and nephew.
The babies had a grand time crawling/rolling over each other and shoving fingers in one another's mouths.

My mom, sister and I had a vision of the twin cousin baby photo, and together it turned out to be.....THE.BEST.PHOTO.EVER!  Mom gets total credit for the overalls!  Julia called out "Becca grab the hats Aunt Nan made the babies!" just before walking out the door....and all I could picture were 4 babies sitting together looking out into the woods!  My brother had a "hand" in the best.photo.ever too!!!  What you can't see is Benjamin singing row, row, row your boat, and holding L&T so no one fell over!

The babies had a grand time squished into the wagon together and were overall great subjects as the adults acted ridiculous trying to get the babies to smile.

Everyone watched Raffi videos together, Lucie taught Kaleb how to make "the dragon noise" and I soaked up as much love as I could get.

Not sure when we'll all be together again, but I think we'll have to make an annual Colorado trip to retake the best.photo.ever as the babies grow.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

9 Months

Yesterday the boys turned NINE months old!!!  The 4th is a marvelous day to come into the world, just ask K&A's Aunt Jessica.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA ROSE!!!

Our 9month milestones:
Height measures Kaleb approximately 27 inches,

and Aiden 27.5 inches.

I weighed the boys last week, and although I know they've grown in length, they seem to have lost pounds.  Kaleb is 16 pounds 5 ounces and Aiden 17 pounds.  Crawling, standing, falling, standing, falling and crawling is A LOT of exercise!

The boys sleeping patterns have gotten better, although we have rough nights here and there.  They are in bed about 730ish and wake up between 7-8AM.

Eating has improved as well.  There are times when the boys spit everything out, and glorious days when they eat like big boys and love everything I give them!  We're moving to 3 meals a day, in addition to 4 day light bottles.  Recent new foods have been mango, peaches, pear and peas.

Discoveries and Accomplishments:  For Kaleb, officially using baby sign language!  Last night I was furious with myself when I spilled a bottle of milk (when it's breast milk there IS a reason to cry), and had to add an extra pump.  We finished bath time, put on our new jet jammies, and gave the boys the milk I had left.  Kaleb didn't have much to start with and finished quickly.  Before frustration of an empty bottle set in he signed milk SEVERAL times!  So smart.  His other accomplishment is pulling himself to stand on everything now.

AJ on L and Kman on R (finally a photo to show his two teeth)
For Aiden his best accomplishment is furniture surfing.  Man is he a guy on the move.  He also stands solo now!  Even if it's only for a few seconds his balance is superb!  I expect his first steps to be right around the corner.  He is a VERY determined and focused little boy.

Baby babbles:  Kaleb says Mama and Dada and Aiden says Mama.
Sweetest ear candy ever!

As always, things keep getting better and better.  So far 9months is my favorite age :)

Cousin visit

Happy September and Shana Tova!!

Bma and all her babies!  3 girls with the 3 boys, and 1 boy with the 1 girl.
The boys and I have been enjoying a wonderful visit with twin cousins Lucie and Teddy, Uncle Ben and Auntie Julia!!!

What a treat to see all four babies together again.  Lucie June is oh-so-sweet in her little headbands, and I just want to plant kisses on Teddy's juicy lips all day long.

All babies are basically on the same schedule, which is pretty awesome....cause we all get a nice baby-free-break during morning and afternoon naps.

Baby conference.  Lucie is in charge
Julia had some friends come visit, who brought along their 3month little boy.  5 babies on a hike to Fox Ridge!

Kaleb was loving his new giraffe maraca from B-toys (my favorite brand next to Plan Toys) and held onto that sucker the entire walk.

I'm so excited to share I have finally completed my Colorado goal of seeing a MOOOSE!!!  It was such an exciting moment, I've been on the look-out for YEARS!

Mama Moose
Kaleb has been pulling himself up to stand on his own for the last week, just needs help learning how to get down.  He'll stand and stand and stand until he starts to panic and needs rescued.

Kaboom! Official stander-upper
AJ watching his Bma from the porch
And both boys have their bottom teeth!  They grow everyday, and are SO darn cute!

Aiden showing off his teeth!!
On Labor day we went into town to spend an afternoon celebrating Aunt Jessica's birthday!!  Aiden almost made her cry when he carried the balloons down in his hand.  During our visit not only did Aiden stand on his own, without holding onto ANYTHING, twice, but Kaleb made me SO proud, and for the FIRST time signed MILK!!!  It's a pretty amazing thing to communicate with your baby using sign language.  We are still focusing on milk, eat, mama, kitty, more and up.

Hope everyone is enjoying the new month.  Look for another update in a couple days.  The boys are about to be 9months old tomorrow.

Working together!
